Job Brief:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design and review, testing, evaluation, component development, and overall management of electrical systems for projects under Agility Logistics Parks (ALP)
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for maintenance works and ongoing projects, and carry out the necessary supervision of execution
- Check and compare all contract drawings with shop drawings, specifications, and BOQ to ensure compliance
- Prepare general specifications and costing for all kinds of electrical works (low tension and high tension) and fire alarm systems
- Perform technical evaluation of electrical systems, products, components, and applications; confirm system and component capabilities
- Modify installed fixtures, equipment in buildings/warehouses to suit new technology and save cost on operation
- Maintain standards in accordance with Kuwait regulations
- Provide technical guidance to site personnel and technicians
- Maintain product database; keep price lists for regularly required items updated
- Conduct daily visits and follow up on all maintenance works and ongoing projects in all locations
- Submit daily and monthly reports for all electrical maintenance works and projects
- Enforce safety rules at all times and report contractor non-compliance
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and actively participating in professional societies
Requirements
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 10 years’ experience as an electrical engineer
- Professional Engineer license is required
- Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accreditation is an advantage
Your Proficiencies
- Editing expertise for master electrical specifications
- Proficiency in computer aided design tools
- Experience with electrical engineering software for electrical studies, fault calculations, one-line diagrams, and panel schedules
- Committed to complying with various codes and regulatory standards for quality and safety
- Ability to identify issues, obstacles, and opportunities, and then develop and implement effective solutions
- Ability to make informed decisions and resolve issues with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and verbal and written communication skills
