Job Description

  • The Commercial Department Head’s FMCG role is to maximise Company sales and profit through the effective direction and management of all aspects of procurement. He is responsible for ensuring that all products appear in the right store at the appropriate line and in the correct qualities. He keep up with competitor’s prices and products and communicate with the marketing team to ensure near competitive offers in the market.
  • Work closely with the Store team and Camp;F ABA
  • Has permanent contact with the Suppliers to select their product at the best price.
  • Responsible to identify profitable commercial opportunities to grow market share and revenue.
    • Developing and maintaining an excellent understanding of the key customers to ensure that the demands or needs are met.
    • Reviewing existing products, services, and market
    • Develop and build relationship with current and new suppliers.
    • Responsible to devise and deliver promotional activities and marketing strategy.
    • He must report to the management team amp; regularly attend management meeting.
    • Work closely with Suppliers to ensure that merchandise arrives on time all the time.
    • Work closely with Department Head amp; Section Manager to ensure products are displayed respecting planogram defined at HO level.
    • Ensure all retail display areas are maintained to the highest standard of repair and cleanliness.
    • Ensure that stock levels are maintained to agreed standard.

Requirements

  • Has solid experienced Department Head FMCG from SUPERMARKET / HYPERMARKET industry.
  • University graduate preferably in a Business related discipline.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, preferably with French amp; Arabic speaking background.
  • Minimum 8-10 years combined experience in similar industry of which 5 years must have been spent in similar capacity.
  • Preferred 5-10 years GCC experience
  • Has strong leadership skills, mature and with analytical skills
  • Computer literate using Office package, i.e. Word, basic Excel, Power-point.
  • Highly motivated and self-motivated
  • Organized with great attention to detail.
  • Knowledge on Arabic culture, market and local food-retail trends would be useful.
  • Expert in negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
