Salary: 3.30 KWD per hour (Kuwaiti Dinar)

As a Content Writer/Editor at Twinkl, you’ll be helping to build a new team of passionate professionals working flexibly to write and edit Arabic content for Twinkl’s emerging Kuwait market, writing category descriptions and blogs. This team will create a wide range of resources for use in the Kuwait School curriculum system, including PowerPoints, display materials, activity sheets, assessments and planning. For this role, the majority of your time will be spent creating content for children in the public school system so you must have experience of teaching in this setting, or be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of this system. Strong languages skills in both Arabic and English are a must.

Kuwait is a rapidly growing market for Twinkl. You will have the creative freedom to shape the content we offer to our customers. Our ideal candidate will be going further than writing content by suggesting new product ideas, identifying needs in the Kuwaiti teaching community, sharing their experiences and expertise with others. They will need to be able to work on their own initiative with minimum supervision. The successful candidate will be vital in ensuring that these ambitious plans for Kuwait become a reality. This is a work-from-home, flexible position, and hours can be agreed upon between you and your line manager to fit around your current commitments.

Your weekly activity could include:

• meeting with other Twinkl writers or the Country Manager to discuss new ideas;
• writing content for the Kuwaiti market;
• developing new product ideas with the Kuwait Country Manager.

You’ll be working with:

• Faiza Khan (Country Manager - Kuwait) - Faiza has recently joined the Twinkl team as Country Manager for the Kuwait market. With her passion for marketing and PR, entrepreneurial spirit, as well as her 5 years of experience working within the education sector, her role at Twinkl combines the two things that mean most to her: spreading the love for education and building lasting connections with people. Since joining Twinkl, she has dived headfirst into the role of Country Manager by securing multiple partnerships with local brands as well as setting up the foundation for Twinkl to grow and blossom within the Kuwaiti market. Her personal interests include reading, cooking in her free time, making music and meeting new people.

Requirements

To succeed in the role, you will:

• be a fantastic communicator who thrives when working in a close-knit team;
• be focused on collaboration, using feedback to make our resources the best they can be;
• be able to innovate on new resources for our country’s content themes and upcoming events;
• have detailed knowledge of the Kuwaiti national curriculum;
• be able to identify opportunities, generating new content ideas;
• have an excellent understanding of the needs of teachers in the primary public school system and support staff delivering learning within the classroom or at home.

We’re are especially interested in anyone who also meets the following requirements:

• Qualifications: Bachelors of Education or equivalent; Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ classroom experience, currently full class teaching in Kuwait, within the last 12 months;
• Skills: Strong grasp of Arabic spelling, punctuation and grammar, communicating clearly in English;
