Quality Control Engineer

Job Summary:

The Quality Control Engineer is responsible for developing and running new tests to identify issues with developed software before product launch, reporting on the results, and collaborating with software developers to fix program issues.

Your Responsibilities:

• Execute testing plans
• Report application issues using tools such as JIRA, GEMINI, and Microsoft Excel to communicate testing status to peers and management
• Apply tools and techniques selected by the QC Lead/Manager for the specific software project
• Develop an extensive working knowledge of the internal products
• Participate in developing testing plans
• Participate in developing training materials
• Troubleshoot issues reported by customers and guide users to solutions
• Facilitate problem-solving between end user and development staff
• Participate with development staff in testing new releases of internal products

Requirements

Your Qualifications:

• B.Sc. in Computer Science
• As a plus, certification in the QC field such as ISTQB
• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
• Good skills in developing test cases
• Experience with Issues reporting tools

Added Advantage:

• Familiar with Agile methodology
• Knowledge and experience in QC automation tools like Selenium or IBM rational suite

Your Proficiencies:

• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), especially QC and testing phase
• Experience in testing web-based solutions
• Very good knowledge of Internet Explorer and using web-based applications
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to effectively communicate technical information
• Ability to communicate professionally by phone and email
• Should be fluent in English amp; Arabic
• Good administrative skills and an ability to manage own workload
• Ability to cultivate positive working relationships with customers and co-workers
