IMMEDIATE OPENING
640 Acres is seeking a Marketing Specialist to provide services to a fast-paced and dynamic program supporting the U.S. Military 4 star-led, joint command United States Forces Korea (USFK) in South Korea. The Marketing Specialist must be a United States citizen and possess an active Secret U.S. Government security clearance or higher.
Responsibilities
- Engage directly with business, government, development, and technology leaders throughout the organization to promote the organization’s communication strategy effects and branding requirements
- Collaborate with a team of solution-oriented and problem-solving professionals to encourage new, open-minded ideas and approaches
- Display interest in media relations, impacts of social media, and commitment to staying current on geopolitical news
- Demonstrate knowledge of local laws, regulations, and internal compliance to collaborate with both internal colleagues and partners
- Demonstrate mastery of the competencies related to communications strategy and marketing strategy
- Write clearly and effectively while communicating with precision, cogency, and rhetorical force
- Collaborate in a fast-paced and highly creative environment

- Help the organization tell a complex story externally in a compelling way to better inform, educate and influence audiences through a variety of information-related capabilities

- Collaborate with the Commands’ partners to develop and plan marketing efforts in support of sharing the messages/themes/narratives for UNC/CFC/USFK
- Utilize knowledge of the principles, methods, practices, and techniques of written and oral communications to support the Communications Strategy Team in applying principles and engaging the commands’ audiences
- Write articles, narratives, and speeches to help convey information and educate organizations, specialized audiences, and the general public
Requirements
- Active DoD Secret clearance required (TS and above desired)
- Master’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications Art, Journalism, Political Science, or Marketing is required
- At least 3-5 years of working experience related to communications with focus areas including: business, trade associations, and marketing
- Deep understanding of the marketing development process and ties to communication strategic planning is required
- Prior experience working with media and public relations professionals
- Prior experience working on topics related to political-military branding or large-scale business efforts
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong interpersonal skills amp; relationship-builder
- High level of initiative, a strong work ethic, creativity and the ability to balance multiple assignments
- Must work well under pressure with minimal supervision
- Fluent in social and digital communications engagement and strategy
