Analyst - Corporate Venture Capital

Job Brief:

A driven professional in search of a challenge and keen on creating a disruptive impact within Agility’s Venture Capital team, the corporate venture capital and startup incubation arm of Agility. This role will be responsible for supporting the venture capital team through research and analysis around opportunities to invest, incubate, and partner with the best ideas and early stage startups in areas close to Agility’s core operations.

Your Responsibilities

Financial Analysis

• Analyze the long-term viability of investments in early stage start-ups and portfolio companies, their respective industries, the market for their products/services, their financing needs, and exit strategies
• Build financial models for portfolio companies
• Drive the financial modeling and valuation of prospective investment opportunities

• Support and help drive the evaluation, structuring and execution of control equity investments
• Develop business cases and financial assessments of opportunities
• Collaborate closely with the team to understand issues and roadblocks and provide solutions
• Gather data by way of research, interviews and establishing connections; analyze data and information, formulate and test hypothesis, and assist in developing and presenting recommendations.
• Assist with the sourcing of new investment opportunities
• Work with subject matter experts to develop perspectives and insights which contribute to decision making and developing presentations
• Contribute to portfolio monitoring, including quarterly and annual portfolio reporting

Market Research and Due Diligence

• Participate in due diligence meetings with management and portfolio company management teams
• Help manage the overall due diligence and transaction signing/closing processes

Reporting and Presentation

• Prepare detailed investment analysis and various other materials for presentation to the VC Investment Committee
• Work with subject matter experts to develop perspectives and insights which contribute to decision making and developing presentation.
• Contribute to portfolio monitoring, including quarterly and annual portfolio reporting

Requirements

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field from a top-tier university, with outstanding academic achievements
• Minimum 2 years of experience or practical background relevant to the duties above
• Previous experience in investment banking, private equity, startup investing, or venture capital
• Experience being involved in growth of startups with exposure in multiple fields including logistics/tech logistics
• Previous experience operating in a global environment is a plus
