Analyst - Treasury Operations

Job Brief:

Responsible for the timely preparation and execution of treasury activity documentation: confirmations and settlement instructions, payment instructions, and electronic payments. Update the treasury management system (TMS) with market data, static data and other treasury transactions. Assist with issuing and recording of guarantees/letters of credit. This role will be responsible for managing Treasury reporting, this includes monthly Treasury Reports for senior management, working with the business units globally on cash reporting and analysis, plus ad-hoc projects. Participate in various (treasury) projects including but not limited to systems implementation / upgrade and optimization, preparing/updating internal Treasury policies and procedures.

Your Responsibilities

Bank Transfers (20%)

• Prepare and arrange authorization and signing of payment instructions for bank transfers, from Treasury Management system
• Liaise with respective banks to ensure payments are executed on-time and without error
• Is familiar and has experience with online banking platforms (set up, templates, limits, etc

Foreign exchange/money market deals (20%)

• Responsible for verification of FX/MM deal details and transmission of related confirmations to the bank as well as treasury deal netting and settlements
• Utilize TMS to monitor various treasury functions
• Validate approvals, and arrange for funding to business units
• Record intercompany loan transactions in TMS
• Invoice business units’ interest charges on a monthly basis

Treasury Management System (TMS) (10%)

• Ownership of automatic SWIFT bank balance reporting and investigate errors.
• Upload static and market data such as FX rates, interest rates, and bank statements into the TMS
• Investigate ways to increase functionality of TMS
• Assist with implementation and or upgrade of Treasury Systems and optimization, linking with SWIFT

Intercompany Loans (15%)

• Validate approvals, and arrange for funding to business units
• Invoice business units’ interest charges on a monthly basis
• Record intercompany loan transactions in TMS

Guarantees amp; Letter of Credit (10%)

• Validate approval, documentation and manage issuance of guarantees and letters of credit in support of business units’ commercial needs
• Follow up with banks for timely issuance and/or amendments
• Ensure accurate recording of guarantees / letters of credit into the TMS
• Follow up with the business units on maturing guarantees / letters of credit on further action

Bank Account Management (10%)

• Manage the opening and closing of bank accounts for different purposes
• Implement signatory matrices on the accounts
• Provide the bank with necessary legal documents to facilitate account opening process

Treasury Reporting (10%)

• Produce periodic reports on overviews of cash positions, FX exposure, external debt, intercompany loans, outstanding guarantees, money market operations, etc.
• Undertake specific projects within the treasury team when necessary including but not limited to updating Treasury policies and procedures, upgrading Treasury systems, etc.

Treasury Projects (5%)

Requirements

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting/commerce/mathematics, or other related field, higher studies an advantage
• Minimum 3 year relevant experience

• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Due diligence on transactions and confirmations
• Good working level of English required
• Good knowledge of Treasury Systems and SWIFT
• Advanced MS Excel skills, and proficiency in Word and Outlook an advantage
• Some Accounting/Finance experience and/or Treasury knowledge helpful
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Numerical skills
