About the Role:

Hi all! We are looking for a Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations in Kuwait by controlling and verifying our financial transactions.
Senior Accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks, and preparing month-end close procedures.

To be successful in this role, you need to combine excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare entries to book of accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
• Analyzing daily banking transactions and journal entries.
• Payroll and loans amp; advance reconciliation.
• Preparing monthly collection reports.
• Monitoring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
• Supporting monthend and year end close process.
• Preparation clearing accounts between branches and prove transactions that have been recorded in the particular branch.
• Reviewing cash book and their conformity with the actual balances
• Handling all General Accounts (Mutual accounts, accruals, prepaid).
• Handling Fixed Assets management (department wise amp; supporting Department) and depreciation.
• Monitoring and recording of all the physical inventories.
• Making adjustment transactions for all the branches.
• Help to prepare a budget plan.
• Handle any financial tasks assigning by line manager if needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience In the Accounting Field, specially in the Accounts receivables
• BSc in Accounting ,Finance or relevant degree with high GPA.
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
• Excellent understanding of International FInancial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Hands-on experience with MS Office .
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
• Must have excellent communication skills (written and oral) both in English and Arabic
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently across functional groups and on multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Must be flexible to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment
• Passion for technology and for being a part of a fast-growing SaaS companies
